Fact or Fiction #4

Somebody said to me recently that they did not need to network as their existing customers were their best source of referrals.

And many business people believe that!

Yet, in many cases it is fiction as there may well be a better source or a new source of referrals outside your exiting customer base.

That does not mean your existing source – your current customers – is not valuable. It simply means that you limit your referrals by not looking at other sources.

Besides, how many customers want you to spend time with them trying to extract referrals when what they pay you for is to supply a good or service, not focus on your needs.

So, if you want to increase your referrals, start looking past your customer base for new sources. Networking is a great place to do this!
