How good is your Credibility?


I read a newsletter recently where the writer was talking about credibility and how it can be used to build a business.

His thinking is that guarantees, properly worded, can be of enormous value in creating a difference between you and the competition.

For example! Are you in a business that provides an in-home service?

If so, imagine the power of an ad that says, “If we’re not there when we promised, we do the job for free. Unlike other companies, we would never waste your time, then ask you to pay for ours.”

A similar version could read, “If we’re not there when we promised, we pay you for your time wasted. Unlike other companies, we would never waste your time without recognizing its value.”

Just think how many times you have been kept waiting by thoughtless people who either were bad time planners or even worse, simply did not respect you and your time.

So here is the opportunity, in difficult times, to gain some extra business.

Put your credibility “on the line” by issuing a guarantee that shows respect for the customer thus adding to your credibility.

In referral marketing it is often said that the three steps to success are Visibility, Credibility and Profitability.

Visibility is easy. It’s in the credibility that many people lose and so never get to profitability.
