Testimonials - more than just thanks!

Most people in business know what a testimonial is, right? Well maybe if it is asked for! Most people in business give testimonials to others when they are deserved, right? WRONG!

Be honest now. When was the last time you wrote a testimonial for someone, on your business letterhead and sent it?

And, more to the point, when was the last time you wrote one ..............totally unsolicited?

Recently I was reminded by something she did, as to how supportive and encouraging a business colleague had been over many years. From suggestions for improvement all the way to actual speaking engagements by referral, she had played a huge part in my success.

Websites - ho hum!

Recently I recorded a CD in my Mastery Series called Digital Marketing Mastery. And because that is not my expertise I interviewed an expert - Ben Slater from Admission.

And the one thing that came through loud and clear to me was that there are "websites" and there are "digital marketing sites". There is a world of difference between the two and many business people simply have websites.

Now, if your aim is to publish information about your business then a website may well be enough. Some pictures, your logo, contact details, details of your product or service and maybe even a newsletter (that gets sent out occasionally).
